we who like to think of ourselves as disruptors felt that the time has come for a shift. a new path for chronicle emerges, carved out with a new series of 7 inch records limited to only 250 copies. our inaugural release, entitled words for silence, will be unleashed at our debut chronicle showcase on march 29th at berghain. as our way of giving thanks to our supporters the first 10 copies will be passed out in secrecy to attendants looming in the shaded corners of the club. words for silence features two driving tracks from aiken and the illusive ben gibson – two producers that have both crafted powerful eps for us and will be gracing the decks that evening along with nick dunton (65 d mavericks), boris, oliver deutschmann and mike dehnert among others. we could not be more honored to host this night, and look forward to unveiling more releases of this caliber for other special events/turning points. so watch out below… aikens *singularity* has a groove that beeps like a time bomb waiting to explode, washing over you with its sinful drones - while gibsons track *parallax* takes things a bit deeper with pastoral pads and fluttering hi-hats. together they create a balance of rhythm and energy that will be well suited for a number of unique moments while in the chamber.

mad limitado. you know the drama. spreading these out across the board as per. this limited remix 10 inch showcases a remix of break glass from l vis 1990s dance system moniker alongside a vip mix of reflection from sims. the former, featured on sims fabric comp, continues to nurture his raw, machine driven and retro leaning vibes while the theory boss turns in a dense, jacking number.

bushwick17 is a project by costanza francavilla and alex infascelli. it is a 17 minutes improvisation session, recorded in bushwick on a summer afternoon - with no additional edits, mixing or efx. the idea is based on both artists s obsession with the number 17: the concept was to freely capture 17 minutes of their day together, without any thought before the act or any extra sound manipulation after the act. costanza placed 2 mics on the floor in the middle of the room - facing the wall - and played synthesizers while merging herself with dreamlike vocals into ambient floating textures. alex turned on a fan that was abandoned in the studio, placed the electric guitar in front of it, creating ethereal drones, and moving from guitars atmospheres to abruptly exploding yet sultry drums patterns. the result is an hypnotic sonic journey into an indefinite condition of space and time.

although delivering a mysterious & scantily clad 12 inch is hardly a novel concept these days, we must confess to being more than a little excited when we heard this one! it is undercover time again, and we’re sworn to secrecy, of course… what we do know, however is that this mighty release is an absolute dancefloor sureshot! made up of two long, pitched down and utterly mesmerising workouts kicking off with itaque putant, a mid-tempo, tripped out disco number that marries elements of techno, late 80s balearia and more than a nod towards classic red zone dubs. super low subs and bags of melodic atmosphere conspire to provide a perfect dancing under the stars moment. on the flip timento is a lysergic, tribalistic epic, stitching together a series of ethnic ingredients and overlaying some seriously transcendent modern synth candy. building into the soundtrack for a full blown shamanic vision! a serious platter then, and when the music is this good, who needs more?

sequencias number 10 should give anyone unfamiliar with the label a good idea of what we are about. three very different artists have given us three very different tracks—collectively forming a sort of manifesto. experimentation, rhythm and reflection are all given equal weight on this record. as with everything we present, it is all in the service of expressing the flawed and the human.

we’re really excited about this unusual ep from the unusually talented photomachine, his first outing on wicked bass. ‘black motorcycle’ a dark but deep number, measuredly working its way down into to a solid groove before it lifts its eyes skyward for a breakdown made up of delicate synthwork. ‘good news…bad dope’ is a more skittish cut, with its percussive elements laying low in the mix, whilst circling synths provide a menacing mood that juxtaposes itself with a well-placed vocal sample.

uruguayan guillermo miranda is no stranger to cynosure recordings having released a number of eps in the past as of the defunct super duo monoblock. following a path to the dancefloor similar to his past collab releases with martin teysera guillermo steps it up and delivers a bomb combination of chunky house groove and futurist techno sound design with the dragones y otro cosas ep

steve lees (the project club) above machine label returns with another superb release from acclaimed italian duo almunia their last single for am was a best-seller, and their celebrated output through paul mudd murphys claremont56 label, including the recent pulsar lp has seen the their blissful & uplifting balearic sound win over many a new follower *find my way* is a gorgeous, acoustic guitar led vocal number, conjuring up twilight beach side boogie, balmy breezes and ice cold drinks. marius circus gets to work on the b side, taking the irresistible melodies to a much later, darker dancefloor. laying a foundation of squelchy moog style bass and a toughened up rhythm track before heavily effected guitars sweep across the mix elevating the whole thing to near transcendental heights! a superb release and addition to the above machine catalogue.

maricopa returns to back to the balearics to complete his stunning opus, pastel love. and he continues where he left off building deeply textured songs packed full of simple melodies that really shine. his music opts for subtle feelings and passing vibes over the more obvious structures of dance music. the release of part one led to a number of comparisons with the early work of aphex twin as well as more contemporary producers such as four tet. such comparisons dont come lightly, but pastel love demonstrates that a rare musical talent has arrived. the release again has beautiful printed covers and looks as good as it sounds. viva maricopa!

it s time to celebrate! at catalogue number 20 uncanny valley extends its compilation-concept to 12 tracks spread over three records (or as a bundle if you prefer digital). with new music by label-regulars like jacob korn, cuthead and credit 00, friends like rvds & k alexi or filburt and fresh talents like goetterkreis & steve kasper it is an exciting ride along the winding roads through the uncanny valley. the three records are visually linked with distinctive artwork by the ever-reliable paul waak. part 2 sees the long awaited return of jacob korn whose der don is his first production for uncanny valley since his acclaimed album you & me in 2012. with overlapping strings and thrilling beats it s an epic dance floor banger and jacob korn at his best. dresden s goetterkreis and steve kasper put their focus on percussions and dub techniques. their puli kali (rooted dub) is a well-executed combination of dubby techno and funky uk bass music. also new to the label is lounge 44 who works up a soul tune into a climatic house track in best cut-up fashion. kornhead aka jacob korn and cuthead throw together their preferences for pumping beats and jazzy samples which results in a laid back house track that actually wanted to be hip-hop jam. free download included.

its all over town: mentys back! who could be more suitable for lucky number 13 than mr. techabilly himself? lucky 13 starts with the gamblers hymn all aces high, setting every saloon on fire. your pick could be the bunched remix, if you like it even more funny. flipside is tearing the dancefloor down with later penetrator, a rollin rocker! günther cools it down a bit, with a funky rhythm and a whistle along melody.

she can reach sees the boys from cologne deliver a thumping tech-house number with an extraordinary male vocal and wonderfully groovy bassline. the remix comes from the label boss himself. marc reworks the original, creating a prime-time smash. the third track on the ep, special, is a strong percussive groover that rounds out the release to perfection

crown, french beatmaker, member of the grim reaperz collective (enemy soil affiliate) exclusively presents its two first brand new titles taken from its next beat production album *pieces to the puzzle* scheduled to air february 3rd 2014. these two titles are a collaboration with rasco, member of the cali agents and belgium artist scylla with whom crown has realized number of smashing hits in france including the world famous clash video *emcee versus beatmaker*. crown is introducing his new opus with two titles *ecrans de fumée (smoke screen)* and *pieces to the puzzle* available on 12 inch lps and limited to 300 copies, all numbered, with and instrumental as well as acapella version all in bonus!

*it all started in 1974 with the purchase of my first mini moog and another 70s dream machine, a white mellotron m 400.* so starts klaus hoffmann of his 40 years love affair with the mellotron. moving from prog-rock guitarist to cosmic disco warrior in a space of a few years, the birth of cosmic hoffmann would lead to a number of classic kosmiche albums through-out the 1980s. before this though came space-disco. initially recorded in 1978 after endless late night sessions exploring the new realms of this free form electronic music, the first incarnation was recorded live to tape for a failed film project. an uplifting spaced-out synth journey, it was the later reworked version that would go on to become the lost cult classic. with added disco syncopation taking the track into interstellar spheres, it appeared only as a flipside of cosmic hoffmanns first and last single, *weltraumboogie*, in 1982. unfortunately the release did not make much impression at the time but has become highly sought-after for the more leftfield dj and music lovers in the years since. now fully licensed and remastered, the inclusion of the unreleased 1978 original will be only add to the collectors dream.

prologue continues with the portefeuille series and present with number 3 new prologue faces for this release. first is etapp kyle, recently released on ben klocks clockworks with an unbelievable emotional techno track. second is a complete new producer face from italy called mod21. mod21 delivers a biological living techno monster. last on the ep are artefakt know the dutch field recordings with deepest melancholic grooves for the dance floor. we are very exited about this release and we are sure we see all soon again on prologue.

apartment kickstarts 2014 with a various artists compilation focusing on irish talent from all across the isle. following on from their collaboration as bande apartment in 2013, tr one and new jackson once again appear together on apartment. this time around new jackson remixes tr ones bruising techno beast >viceroy-9c< (the original of which appeared on the last apartment release, a split 12 with phantom planet outlaws), turning it into an emotive, acid-laced breakbeat gem. house duo slowburn, coming off a year that included appearances on lunar disko, appian sounds and grounded in humanity deliver the off-kilter and immersive >riders of the sea<. hints of the work of artists such as drexciya and kassem mosse are combined with their own unique stylings to create an intoxicating, tripped out journey to the deepest recesses of the dancefloor.the cyclist garnered huge praise last year with his >bones in motion< lp on leaving records/stones throw and apartment is excited to deliver his first original material since then. his individual brand of over-driven electronics – >tape throb< – combines distortion with the most delicate of inflections and >crax< surmises this approach perfectly, an uncommonly euphoric slice of wounded electronica. last but by no means least is the superior inferior. after his debut release on belfast’s one electronica label went so far as to be licensed by sven vath to his sound of the 14th season compilation, he returns with the throbbing, rapturous >a bit much confusion<. wave and electro influences carry this bass heavy number towards it’s crescendo of skyscraping synths and skewered monopoly madness.
